This policy explains how Lensically handles personal information when you visit lensically.com, browse the Store or Research, purchase or download a digital product, contact support, or otherwise interact with Lensically.
Information we collect
- Purchase and fulfillment data: name and email when provided through checkout, Stripe Checkout Session and payment references, product and price identifiers, payment status, amount and currency, license or entitlement records, product version, download count, and verification or download timestamps.
- Technical and security data: IP address, browser or device information, request logs, security events, and diagnostic information generated by hosting, payment, repository, and security providers.
- Support data: messages, attachments, screenshots, and troubleshooting information you choose to provide.
- Site interaction data: basic usage or analytics information if Lensically enables analytics or similar measurement tools. This policy will be updated if the categories or purposes materially change.
Lensically does not directly receive or store complete payment-card numbers. Stripe processes payment information under Stripe's own privacy terms.
How we use information
We use information to operate the site, process and verify purchases, provide digital downloads, maintain product and license records, prevent fraud and abuse, provide support, diagnose defects, secure services, understand product demand, maintain business and accounting records, enforce applicable purchase and license terms, and comply with legal obligations.
Data minimization
Lensically aims to collect and retain only information reasonably needed for the purposes above. Customers should not send passwords, API keys, access tokens, private keys, or other secrets through support channels.
Service providers and disclosures
Information may be processed by providers needed to operate Lensically, including Stripe for payments, Cloudflare for hosting and security, GitHub for software and private release operations, and other vendors used for support or infrastructure. Information may also be disclosed when required by law, to investigate fraud or security incidents, to protect rights and safety, or as part of a lawful business transaction.
Sale, sharing, and targeted advertising
Lensically does not intentionally sell personal information for money or use personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. If Lensically changes these practices in a way that creates a legally required opt-out right, the site will be updated with the required notice and control.
Retention
Short-lived download credentials expire automatically. Purchase, license, accounting, fraud-prevention, support, security, and operational records may be kept for as long as reasonably necessary for fulfillment, legal or tax obligations, dispute handling, security, and enforcement. Data that is no longer needed should be deleted or de-identified when practical.
Security
Lensically uses measures such as access controls, encrypted provider secrets, payment-session verification, bounded download authorization, private release storage, and operational logging. No online service can guarantee absolute security.
Your privacy rights
Depending on where you live and whether a particular privacy law applies to Lensically, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, portability, or information about processing; to opt out of certain sales, sharing, profiling, or targeted advertising; or to limit certain uses of sensitive data. Maryland's Online Data Privacy Act, for example, gives covered Maryland consumers rights that include access, correction, deletion, and certain opt-outs. California law provides rights for consumers when the CCPA applies to a business.
To make a privacy request, email support@lensically.com. Lensically may need to verify your identity and may retain records where permitted or required for legal, tax, accounting, fraud-prevention, security, or license-enforcement reasons.
Children
Lensically's commercial products and services are not directed to children under 13, and Lensically does not knowingly seek to collect personal information from children under 13 through the Store.
Customer-controlled deployments
Some Lensically products may be source code or customer-controlled software. A purchaser's own deployment, users, connected accounts, content, and third-party services are controlled by that purchaser and may require the purchaser to provide its own privacy notices and comply with laws applicable to that deployment.
International visitors
Lensically is accessible from multiple jurisdictions. Additional rights or obligations may apply depending on where a visitor lives and how Lensically processes that visitor's information. Where applicable law requires additional disclosures or controls, Lensically will provide them.
Changes to this policy
Lensically may update this policy as products, providers, data practices, and legal requirements change. The effective date above identifies the current version.
